Sev (Gram flour noodles) is one of the most favored of recent trending meals in the world. It’s easy, it is quick, it tastes delicious. It is enjoyed by millions daily. They’re fine and they look fantastic. Sev (Gram flour noodles) is something that I have loved my whole life.
To get started with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have sev (gram flour noodles) using 8 ingredients and 14 steps. Here is how you cook that.
The ingredients needed to make Sev (Gram flour noodles):
- Make ready 1 Cup gram flour (besan)
- Take 1/4 Teaspoon turmeric powder
- Take 1 Teaspoon red chilli powder
- Take 1 Teaspoon garlic paste (optional)
- Make ready 1 Tablespoon oil
- Take 1.5 Cups Oil for deep frying
- Prepare To Taste salt
- Take water
This machine comes with many pre-fabricated. Sev is a delicious fried vermicelli snack that is made from besan/ gram flour. The sev is used in most chaats like Bhel Puri, Sev Papdi Puri Chaat, Khakra Chaat, Chole Tikki Chaat and many other dishes. The crispiness of the sev vermicelli adds to the texture and flavor of the chaats.
Instructions to make Sev (Gram flour noodles):
- Take a broad vessel and grease the bottom with oil
- Add all dry ingredients and mix it well
- Add 1 tbsp oil and mix it well
- Add garlic paste, its optional in case you want it to be ginger flavored you can add ginger paste at this point
- Knead medium soft dough
- Once the dough is almost ready and if it is sticking to your hands remove it using a spoon then grease your palms with oil and then knead it a bit and keep it aside
- Use the machine shown in Image1 and Image2, It is Sev (noodle) maker machine.
- Divide dough in to two equal portions
- Grease the machine with oil from inside then put first portion in it and close it
- Heat the oil for frying on medium heat
- Once oil is ready, hold the machine vertically on top of the pan with one hand and with the other hand turn top handle of the machine, this will help to push the noodles out from the bottom directly in to the oil
- While turning the top handle, try and make circle of noodles matching the diameter of the pan
- Fry it for about 20 seconds and flip it over
- Fry it until light golden color as shown in Image 3; it will take 20-25 seconds
Sev is like thin, crunchy noodles made from chickpea flour. The batter-like dough is made from chickpea flour and is seasoned with salt, pepper and turmeric powder.
