The ingredients needed to make Braised Tofu:
  1. Get 1 packet extra firm tofu
  2. Get 1 large carrot
  3. Take 1/2 white onion
  4. Make ready 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  5. Get 1/2 cup soy sauce
  6. Prepare Sesame oil
  7. Take 1 tbsp maple syrup
  8. Prepare 1/3 tbsp cayenne
  9. Prepare 2 white scallions
  10. Get 5 cloves garlic
  11. Take Salt
  12. Prepare Pepper
  13. Take 1 cup water
  14. Take 2 scallion greens
  15. Make ready Sesame seeds
Steps to make Braised Tofu:
  1. Cut tofu into thin slices and fry in sesame oil
  2. In a small bowl add mix soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, cayenne, maple syrup
  3. Peel and cut the carrot into small pieces, set aside
  4. After tofu is fried, cut and fry the onion, sliced longways. Add the garlic, salt, pepper, and white scallions.
  5. After onions are cooked, add the fried tofu and soy sauce mix. Sprinkle carrot and some extra raw onion on top. Add one cup of water and bring to boil for 10 minutes
  6. Cut to Green scallions on top and add sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
